Summary
The Chipping Forecast spans the globe at the start of Ryder Cup week, by which we mean that Andrew is not very fresh off a plane from Tokyo to Los Angeles, Iain is battling with the roads of Long Island and Eddie is barely coherent, since it's after 11pm in Oxfordshire. However, our Tour pro stays awake long enough to tell us that his form is actually pretty good despite what The Italian Challenge leaderboard says. We also hear from Europe's Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and are given the most startling revelation about a European Tour player in the history of both golf and pop music.

| 0:54.9 | this isn't how the whole pod's going to go, but I can see his little face under a baseball |

| 1:05.7 | City from Beth Page. This is going to be a well-traveled route over the coming days. I was hoping to |
| 1:14.1 | be back in the hotel in time for the start of the pod, but I'm looking at ways. And we're about |
| 1:19.7 | 22 minutes away. We've got 11 miles to go. Luckily, my colleague, Alistair Bruce Ball, is doing |
| 1:25.6 | the driving. ABB. ABB is in charge and as I speak, we're hitting a traffic jam. |
| 1:33.3 | And that's symbolic really of the way things have been since we got here. |
| 1:40.3 | And for a number of our colleagues actually before they've even left the UK, it's going to be a |
| 1:47.0 | very demanding week. We've just been cut up by a Jeep, which nearly resulted in, oh my God, |
| 1:53.7 | you can't make that manoeuvre. That's ridiculous. He's gone from the inside lane to the |
| 1:58.5 | outside lane. There are four lanes on this turnpike. |
| 2:02.2 | He's an idiot, that man. |
| 2:04.7 | But ABB is? |
| 2:06.3 | You're talking about Alice to Bruce Boll? |
| 2:08.0 | No, no, Ali's doing fine. |
| 2:09.5 | That's fine. |
| 2:10.2 | So, yeah, so hopefully I'll be able to join you in proper quality in due course, |
