I have so much respect for this woman who was born 116 years ago and I always think like

if Josephine Baker were around today, like she would have the most popping Instagram account

of all time, like whatever her hive was, I would be in that hive, whatever she called

her fans, I would be there.

I'd probably have like a dedicated fan page for her.

I just, I'm obsessed.

I live and she's had such an interesting complex life and we all know the bananas skirt

and we all know the iconic images of Josephine Baker, but I really wanted to have a historian

and author, Michelle Gainer, who is incredible on to break down and dissect her life.

You probably know and Michelle Gainer's very popular book and blogged her Instagram account

vintage black glamour.

She's actually been on the podcast before and we've talked about some incredible black

women throughout history, but I was like, we need for black history a month, we need
