It's anonymous and it goes like this.

On your last day on earth, the person you became will meet the person you could have become.

Very popular quote. A lot of people like it. It's pointing to something important.

And in this episode, I'm going to tell you why I don't like it.

First, let's settle in with the sound of the bells. I'll ring them, bring your full

attention and presence to the sound all the way until that micro second when

it dissolves into silence. Okay, so back to the quote.

I can already sense some of you squirming in your seats,

a little agitated.

I really like this quote.

What's he gonna say against this quote? So let me say it again, I'll go through all of it.

The quote goes like this, on your last day on earth, the person you became will meet the

person you could have become.

Maybe you've heard of this before, maybe it's new to you.

I think very quickly we get the sentiment of it. And the way it's often used, at least in the personal development space,

is as a form to inspire you, to leverage and step into your full potential, to not be lazy, to choose maybe hard

work over watching TV, to really inspire you to step into your life fully.

At least that's how I've seen it used so that you don't get to that last day on earth and regret all the things you didn't do as you meet the person
