No LeBron James, no problem? Well, that would be the hyperbolic retelling of the Lakers' 125-121 OT win over the Spurs. James, who's nursing a sore ankle from a collision during Sunday's game against the Spurs, was definitely missed during the overtime victory, which to put it kindly, wasn't always pretty. But for a team still figuring itself out and missing a large chunk of the roster, beggars can't be choosers. You take what you can get. Plus, there were huge positives, mostly notably the performances from Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, who put the "super" and "star" in "superstar." Arguably AD's best game this season (35/17/4/4 blocks) and absolutely the high water mark from Westbrook (33/10/8/3 steals, only three turnovers), it was a reminder of why elite talent matters, as well as a promising sign of how Russ can fit in with his new team.
