Hi. This is Glenn Lowry, host of The Glenn Show. I did my first podcast recording back in 2007.

It was a conversation at Robert Wright's platform, blogging heads, with Josh Cohen, the philosopher from Stanford and Apple University, and we had

a great time.

Not only did I enjoy it, I discovered that this format suited me, and I've been at it ever

since.

Gosh, that's 18 years.

The Glenn Show 1.0 got its start at Robert Wright's urging. He,

in fact, suggested the name of the show in 2008. And I recorded episode after episode once or twice a

month for years and years. and I did it for free.

We put the content up and people consumed it as they would, and it was great.

It was edifying, gratifying, but also impoverishing.

And so I decided back in 2021 that I was going to try something different, a little bit different,

and I launched the Glenshiel 2.0.

I wanted to see if I could make the video podcast that I'd been doing for free for years

into something that would be a freestanding financially sustainable operation,

with the able assistance of Nikita Petrov, developing the show's creative vision,

and the wonderful editorial input from Mark Sussman, who headed up our print text operation, along with the assistance of Lucas Sussman, who headed up our print text operation, along with the assistance of Lucas Sluzar,

who keeps the show looking and sounding sharp, this team has found a combination that works.

It works so well, in fact, that we haven't stopped. We haven't missed a single

post or delayed a single episode in the time since we established our production and publication

schedule here at the Glenn Show and the Glenn Lowry substack. We all agreed early on that we

would stick to our established publication
