And we're going to open up now with, you know, you see that in various cities, there are changes being made slowly.

After all these years, about at least seven years, I've noticed we've been having to deal with this preposterous homeless situation,

which was entirely created by our governments.

And in Santa Monica, that's been one of the worst cases. And I live very near Santa Monica and there frequently, almost every day. And the stuff I've seen is astonishing compared to the way it used to be not that long ago. And I was excited to see that yesterday there was going to be a city council meeting.

And they were going to vote on banning sleeping in public places.

You couldn't sleep in public with sleeping bags or blankets.

It was going to be illegal.

And they were going to maybe start cleaning up homeless encampments.

Well, the vote got postponed.

And we're going to talk to Phil Brock now, the mayor of Santa Monica, to explain where things are at.

I'm good, a little tired after a 2 a.m. meeting, council meeting.

But this morning at 10 a.m., we opened a brand new Barnes and Noble on

the promenade so I'm happy about that. Well congratulations on that. That's a really welcome edition

because you used to have one there, a big story there for many, many years. All right. And I'll

throw one last thing in.
