In the last two episodes, I revealed some of the latest statistics

on the amount of time spent writing a post and the number of words in a post that have the

biggest impact on traffic. Now I'm going to discuss the findings from the Orbit Media

Blogger survey about publishing frequency.

This has always been an uncomfortable topic for many bloggers to think about.

Most bloggers have a day job and there is just so much time each week to dedicate to writing

blog post. Between work, family, and other responsibilities, it could be tough to get out one really

good post per week. Before we start analyzing the data, I want to make it real clear that you should

never compromise content quality for content frequency. I think we covered this quite a bit in the previous two episodes.

We identified from those episodes that bloggers who spend six hours or more creating

2,000 plus word post get the most traffic.

With that being said, unless you are a full-time blogger or have hired freelancers to help,

it is statistically impossible for you to write high-quality post on almost a daily basis.

Now, let's go ahead and get into what the survey found out.

When we look back at the stats from 2014, the most common blog post

frequency was several blog posts per week. Close to 30% of all bloggers were publishing between

two and six blog posts per week. Fast forward in time to 2018 and the most common frequency
