something a little different today. You know, our episodes are usually 15 minutes or less,

but we really wanted to share this story from the KUOW Newsroom

that went deep on Seattle's approach to housing first.

If you're interested in filling the empty seat on the Seattle City Council, today is the deadline.

The City Council will appoint a new member this month following the resignation of Tammy Morales.

Whoever's appointed will serve until the council member is elected in 2025.

The council will make their appointment during a special meeting on January 27th.

Seattle police are taking a closer look at their safety procedures following last week's deadly vehicle attack in New Orleans.

Axios reports Seattle Police recently attended a national FBI briefing about vehicle attacks

and held safety meetings about upcoming events.
