Okay, that's a great question because here's the truth.

Most presentations aren't billion-dollar contracts or miracle drugs.

Most are sales reports, department updates, quarterly reviews, and here's where most

leaders get it wrong.

They confuse, quote-unquote, ordinary content with, quote-unquote, unimportant content.

But what I tell every client

is there's no such thing as a boring topic, only boring framing. Think about it. Numbers on a

spreadsheet are just data. But when you show how those numbers impact people's jobs, their bonuses,

their futures, suddenly the same numbers have life or death urgency to them. The stakes aren't in

the content. The stakes are in the consequences. I'll give me an example. I once advised the CEO who

had to present quarterly sales results. His instinct was to put up his charts and walk through

percentages, all that important, of course, but sleep-inducing. Instead,

we reframed it. He opened up with this. If our trend continues for just two more quarters,

23 of our colleagues will lose their jobs. But if we reverse it, we unlock enough growth to open

two new offices and create 30 promotions. What happens in this room today decides which future

we're headed towards? Do you think people paid attention after that? Every head came up. Every

pen started moving because now the update wasn't about numbers. It was about the livelihoods

of their colleagues, their opportunities, their future. So here's the secret. Every mundane topic has hidden stakes. Your job

isn't to manufacture false urgency. It's to uncover the real stakes that already exist.
