thinking about what does it mean to live a good life. There has been the, we call it the hedonic, like hedonism. And we think of hedonism as being something bad, you know, like doing a lot of cocaine and orgies and things. But hedonism is actually, you know, anything that is pleasurable, anything that is good, like having a good conversation or a great meal or enjoying art.

And so that was the dominant way of thinking about the good life, which is the good life is a life where you're happy.
