dugout in 1857.

The Hersey dugout ingeniously incorporated into the mansion's tower offers a glimpse into

Built in 1880 for banker Conrad Liebold, its halls witnessed a whirlwind of fortune and misfortune.

From Leibold's abrupt bankruptcy in 1889 to a revolving door of owners facing financial ruin,

this mansion seemed cursed by a cycle of abandonment and decay.

Yet amidst the echoes of past residents, the mansion's walls hold more than just secrets.

Its striking resemblance to the Adams family home adds a touch of mystery and familiarity.

And with it being in Abilene, Kansas, the boyhood home of President Eisenhower,

the Leibold Mansion stands as a silent witness to the passage of time in American history.
