Good morning. Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Panero. Today I'm going to talk about one of the greatest lessons I've ever learned. That showing up that the hard work may not be enough. Maybe there's something more. All right. So story time here.

Go back six years to one of the biggest transitions in my life.

I went from, you know, my full-time job to being a creator full-time.

And at this point, I had a studio and a small apartment in Boston,

kind of building over the years.

And what I wanted to do was write five songs, five acoustic songs, and just start playing them like around Boston.

That's where I was at the time.

So what I did was I literally, I'd get up at five, you know, and I'd work on these songs until pretty late, late into the night.

I mean, it was truly my life, writing these songs, recording them, editing them, mixing them,

and then ultimately getting them onto a CD, right, that I invested.

I didn't have much money at the time, right?

I invested a lot into making these CDs. I get this CD, and I much money at the time, right? I invested a lot into making these CDs.

I get this CD and I'm so proud of it, right? I put a month worth of time, two months worth of time into this thing.

And first thing I do is I start distributing it to every bar in Boston, every club in Boston, every radio station in Boston, even the college radio

stations just to get it out, see if they'd be interested in playing it, right? See if I could play

an acoustic set there or something. It's like singer-songwriter music. And this is the first

time, just for context, that I'd really put myself out there like this.

Right?

Like, so everyone takes risks every day.

The magnitude of those risks varies.

But my life had been pretty predictable until that point.
