What's going on? I'm Eddie Panero. Welcome to your world within daily. Today I'm going to talk about why our doubts, our traitors.

I'm going to go old school on you guys right now.

There's an old Shakespeare play called Measure for Measure. And the basic premise of this

play is there's a woman named Isabella and her brother has been sentenced to death by the king.

And the person who speaks the line, Lucio, he's basically urging Isabella to go to the king and beg for her brother's life.

And Isabella's response is, well, why?

And he looks at her and he says, our doubts are traitors. And I love that line. Right. Our greatest

adversaries between our ears. It's our head. It's what we're thinking. It's not what's standing in front of us.

There's a term that I use a lot called optionality. What is the optionality? What is the upside of

something? Because the vast majority of the time, the upside far exceeds the downside, right?

In other words, what can go wrong pales in comparison to what could go right.

Yet, we stay where we are because that man in the mirror looking back, he's telling us, well, you could lose this.

In the context of this story, you know, Isabella might be told no by the king, but she might save her brother's life.
