All right, this is going to be a really fun one.

John and I, per usual, we were just talking before we started about how this actually takes a ton of research to come up with this.

But what we're going to ultimately do is talk about the greatest seasons of all time,

combine regular season and playoffs.

And we will try to pick at the end of this, our top three.

We'll see if we make any good points that convince each other.

I've got a rough idea of my top three, but I'm trying

to keep an open mind here. Let me ask you this, John, as we're starting, what is your, give me some

ideas of your overall methodology here? Sure. I mean, obviously, I started looking for awesome regular

seasons and MVP seasons. I think we're talking about the greatest seasons of all time. If you didn't

win the MVP award that year, it's a little bit of a red flag that we probably can't put it on the

all-time altar. Not in every single case, but I think, you know, certainly there's a discussion

that needs to be had then of why didn't your contemporaries even think you were the best player

that year.

Two things that I think were important.

We're not just the level of performance,

but the durability of the performance in terms of how many games the player was able to play that year.

For example, to use a recent example,

Steph Curry's 2018 season was awesome,

and they won the championship, but it only played 51 games.
