Turn with me, if you would, this evening to 1 Corinthians, 1 Corinthians, the 10th chapter.

We've been talking about examples for us.

In 1st Corinthians 10 and verse 5 talking about the Israelites that God delivered out of Egyptian slavery,

that with many of them, God was not well pleased.

Well, what do we know without reading anything else?

What does it take to please him?

It takes faith.

So obviously they didn't follow him in faith.

For they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Was it God's will for them to be overthrown in the wilderness, for them to wander around

for 40 years? It was not. Hebrews tells us that the works for them to enter into that

promised land were finished before the foundation of the world. It was not God's will.

And you know this by other scripture that says, in Peter, he said,

God's not willing that any should perish.

That's a big verse.

What you said out loud, God is not willing that any should perish.

That's all encompassing.

It's an absolute.

So anytime you see anybody perishing in any area or any degree, you don't need a special revelation to know that's not

God's will.

If you're perishing from disease, it's not the will of God.

You're perishing from poverty, it's not the will of God.
