Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Each of us have been given only one life. What will we do

with it? Life. It's not a game. And in this journey through the book of Ecclesiastes,

Occasionally I'll hear someone say, oh, I miss the good old days. Have you ever heard that expression? I wonder if the good old days were actually as good as we thought

they were. If the good old days actually were to be lived all over again,

if we would view them with the same fondness,

I fear that sometimes we are living in nostalgia instead of in reality.

Oh, for sure, there were sweet, precious things in the past and many blessings,

and maybe there are some simplicitys and innocent things that we miss from a bygone era.

But if you're not careful, you can live always thinking about the good old days and missing today.

We come in our study of Ecclesiastes to a fascinating verse in chapter 7.

It's verse number 10, and I think a verse filled both with good common sense and heaven's wisdom.

And may God help us, we need a revival of both in our day.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7, verse 10, say not thou, what is the calls that the former

days were better than these?

For thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.

You'll remember that in our study at this point,

repeatedly Solomon has talked about what is better

and what is the best way.
