and in today's episode, I'm going to share a simple practice that is mainly used for kids but could also

be used for adults that involves a glitter jar. More to come on that and how to make

it in a moment.

First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. Okay. Okay, so if you follow this podcast, you know, most of these episodes are talking about

different ideas and practices that you can do in your day-to-day life.

Most of it is oriented toward adults and we go in depth into a lot of different ideas

but every once in a while I like to give you just short,

simple practices or things that you can use

with your family or with your children.

And this is one of those episodes where I want to discuss a practice called

the Glitterjar meditation that is something that teachers who are introducing mindfulness into the classroom often use and it's something that parents can use with their children as well.

And so I'll share what it is, how to use it, and then how to make one in this episode.

So the glitter jar is really exactly what it looks like.

You probably all seen one before.

It's a jar, it could small, could be big, filled with glitter and

a handful of other things. That allows the glitter to be shaken up in the glass and the jar, and then slowly settle to the base of the jar.

And when working with kids, this can be really useful as a mindfulness practice for a couple

different reasons. You can use it in a handful of different ways.
