we're going to talk about how to stay sane with technology.

First, let's settle in together with the sound of the year. Okay, so if you are listening to this in the year 2021 or beyond, chances are you have some

sort of relationship to technology, and specifically that often involves a relationship to social media.

And what this can also mean is that there's a good chance it drives you insane from time to time.

And this could include getting sucked into it

for pointless reasons because you're scrolling through and getting the dopamine

hit of the next picture or the next video.

This could also include the insanity

that comes from just seeing so many different perspectives

and ideas and voices and often

a lot of negativity that is showing up on your feed.

And so this is an interesting thing that we're all engaged in these days and it's really important to have strategies to work with it. And as a mindfulness teacher, this is still something that I am constantly

navigating because the technology can be very seductive and even though I might associate some pain or stress on the other side of it.

There's another part of my brain that is drawn to it and wants more of it.

So I want to share a tip that has been useful for me.

It's a particular inquiry that I use in these moments

when I find myself reaching for my phone, going into my inbox, or wanting to open up a social media tab.

And the question I ask myself is,
