There's a new documentary coming out about one of the oldest and best-known political

strategists. James Carville is the subject of filmmaker Matt Turnowers' new

Winning is Everything Stupid, which premieres October 5th on CNN.

Carval has been a fixture in American politics ever since he was Bill Clinton's

lead strategist for the 1992 presidential campaign and in the past year Carville has been

omnipresent on podcasts and TV and in print giving his very very unfiltered views of

24. He was an early player in the outside efforts to

force Joe Biden off the ticket and he's been a loud critic of certain left-wing

strains in the Democratic Party.

For a long time, Democrats just wanted to feel good about themselves.

And we were more tolerant, we were more educated, we had a broader view, and we lose the election

because the public wasn't ready to accept our

advanced vision of the nation. That's a stupid fucking argument. I caught up with

James while he was on a press tour in Los Angeles. We talked

about his outlook on the election including why he's not so sure that it will be a

close race once the votes are counted. What he thinks Kamla Harris could learn from Trump's

hockster style and why he has absolutely no remorse for voicing his

complaints that the Democratic Party's culture was dominated by what he calls pre-Chi females.
