Chris, I think it's appropriate to start off this podcast with the, I guess, the remembering what a great player, the late, great John Mendenhall was.

He passed away February 26th at the age of 72.

You saw him play, Chris.

I, you know, I did not.

I don't remember him playing.

I was, like I said, I was born in 74.

You saw him, and I think you can touch on what a great player he was during a horrific time for the Giants.

Yeah, Jerry.

He was an excellent, excellent football player, man, real good defensive lineman.

And let's face it, you know, it was the wilderness years, like what we like to call the wilderness years in the Giants history, you know, in the 70s.

Yeah.

And because of that, he never received the recognition he deserved.

Right.

I feel he should be, Jerry, don't forget, this was before the stats.

For quarterback, Sacks were an official stat.

Yeah.
