Today's 10-minute walk is helping both of us remain fitness consistent.

Hi, I'm Dave. Let's go for a walk. I don't know if you can hear. I'm going to stop for a moment.

Can you hear the rain? It is a rainy morning in Myrtle Beach. I have an umbrella tucked in my back pocket.

And at the moment the rain's not hard enough, and I'm not sure which direction this is going to go.

When I left the house, checked the forecast, knew the rain was a possibility,

but also knew that we were coming to the end of the system that was causing the rain.

Although at the moment, it actually feels like it's coming down just a little bit harder.

So I may have to stop and pull out the umbrella, but for now we'll keep going without.

Walking in the Paris airport, waiting for my next flight and watching your video about walking.

As soon as I saw that comment, I responded.

It made me smile for a couple of reasons.

The video was filmed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which is where I live.

And it was being watched by someone in Paris.

This is a city that I've never been to but it's on my travel bucket

list. And yet here I was virtually in Paris talking with someone who was at the

Paris airport. So that made me smile. Number two, I love airports. In fact, I've talked

probably frequently, or at least more than once. I don't know if that's the definition of

frequently, about how getting a step tracker caused me to,

motivated me to look for opportunities to walk.

For a season, long season, meaning several years,

my job offered the opportunity to do some traveling.
