I was on a podcast recently and the host said some questions have come in. Some of them are fairly personal, but tough, but I want you to answer them.

So I said, that is fine. The first question was, why do you change your name from comfort? There is nothing comforting about you whatsoever.

And so I shared a story where many years ago, someone came to me and said, they had seen a painting of King Charles, so I King James I,

And underneath it was a caption that said, James I comforting his troops. He was provoking them into battle.

And that is the original meaning of the word comfort, to provoke and to encourage.

And the Holy Spirit of God is our comforter, and he provokes us into battle and encourages and gives us boldness.

As a brand new Christian, I think I was two weeks old, an elderly gentleman, with a sense of humor, said to me, Ray Comfort, do you know your name is mentioned?
