Hey listeners, we have some important notes, announcements, and exciting news to share with you today.

First and foremost, when people say the future, as we did in the title of this episode,

it tends to freak people out. But don't worry, we aren't going anywhere, except on a short break.

Now, we will release an update's episode in the meantime, because several cases we've covered

in the last six years have recently been solved, and that is news that you need to hear much more about.

But we also need to tell you why we're taking this break, which will run for a chunk of the summer.

The pandemic slowed down our research process by quite a bit.

Mostly in our ability to access official records, do onsite research and schedule family interviews.

Now that agencies have largely caught up on most of their requests,

we're able to move back to our preferred method of bringing you content,

deep dive, seasonal releases that allow us to dig into cases and serve families in victims as much as we can.

Sometimes that will mean an entire series devoted to a single case.

Other times we'll be operating on a theme.

For instance, we're currently looking at dozens of unidentified persons cases,

several Georgia cult cases, further cases from families who've heard our MMIP coverage,

victims of serial killers who've not received resolution, and much, much more.

We will be bringing you episodes on a regular basis, so no worries there.

We'll just be taking a little time off to prepare for this launch.

You can expect our first new season in August, and we'll also be bringing you further content

like exclusive looks at material from my upcoming book titled,

Lay Them to Rest. The book gives readers insight into the science that solves cold cases,

and how I worked with experts to assist in the identification of a Jane Doe victim,
