No great secret. We lose energy to do the things we love as we get older. I read something earlier this year

that I've been thinking a lot about as it relates to the energy drain as we age and walking.

That's the Atlantic Ocean that's just to the left of me.

Here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we live a couple of miles from where I'm walking.

It is low tide. I don't think I'm alone in this,

but this is a wonderful time of day to walk on the beach because you have this wide expanse

of hard sand that's packed down and makes for much easier walking than the soft sand,

which is to my right.

One of the benefits of walking that I really have come to appreciate and to some degree

enjoy is the boost of energy that walking can give I've done an episode and I think

On those days when you're feeling really tired and all you want to do is climb into bed and take a nap.

Taking the nap or taking the walk.

And I'm really good at both.
