final episode of our in-depth look at the music of Star Wars, episode 5, The Empire Strikes Back.

We left off last time with Luke Skywalker on the swamp planet of De goba training under Master Yoda while the rest of our characters were hiding out in an asteroid field safe from the Imperial Fleet.

Or, so they thought.

Turns out that the Millennium Falcon is hiding in more than just some cave in a larger asteroid,

without knowing it, they're actually sitting in the belly of the whale, or space slug as the case may be.

This, by the way, is another callback to Joseph Campbell, though with a twist, our characters have no idea.

So we're going to hear a passage that plays largely with no music from the film and ends with

a brand new melody, one that starts off in a similar way rhythmically to the Imperial March.

Instead of,

Don, don, don, don't, we get,

done, don't, don't, don't, don't,, done, done on, done done,

It's as if to say, ah, you escaped one crazy threat,
