The transition there from just being brain on a stick to actually presenting your body as a living sacrifice is doxology.

When you get out of the stands watching the performance or just

rifling through the doctrines and filling your head with more stuff for an

exam, it's when you get out of the stands and onto the stage head with more stuff for an exam.

So when you get out of the stands and onto the stage

with a great cloud of witnesses, singing his praises

for what he's done for you,

that you are then able to live a life that is worthy of the high calling

that he's given you. applying the riches of the reformation to the modern church.

This is Whitehorse Sin, a weekly roundtable discussion

about theology and culture. We are beginning at a new series on over corrections.

We'll explore over corrections to a few different things like emotion-driven worship,

legalism, individualism, and overly optimistic views of humanity.

All of these issues need to be addressed, but some of the responses have been a bit strong,

and when this happens, we enter into what some call the cage stage.

Cage stage is when someone comes to a new understanding that is helpful for them

and then they think it's going to be helpful for everybody else right now.

And so Cage stage is meant to be a funny term because it implies that the person needs to be caged for their protection and for the protection of others.

And at the heart of the cage stage and over corrections is a mix. There's a mix of good intentions, good theology, but it could be mixed with some

immaturity and perhaps pride. We don't want to armchair,

psychologize everyone on this type of over-correcting, but just being aware of some of the movements taking place in the conversations could be helpful.

Sometimes we're zealous and need to go through our phases.
