and I know you've thought a lot about the issues of suffering and pain.

In fact, you wrote a book called Walking with God for pain and suffering.

You know, Martin Luther said, being a theologian requires prayer, study, and suffering.

It's kind of an odd thing to add, suffering as a requirement of really understanding

existentially what the promises of God mean. I'm sure our listeners would like to get an

update on your health and how this experience of severe trial has challenged

and deepened your confidence in God's promises.
