The People vs. Laurie Valodebel. So this is our continuing coverage of the daybell trial and we're excited to do it.

And I am once again joined by my fantastic partner in crime, Alison Mata. What's up girl?

Hey, hi everybody. Hi, so this is actually our third episode. Okay, so we've been kind of plowing through these witnesses guys and I always like to give a little bit of refresher kind of irritates Alison, but too bad.

So basically what we did in our last episode is we covered both K Woodcock and Brandon. What's the last name?

Brandon Boudreau. So it was everything that occurred on April 10th, 2023.

Alright, excellent. That's solid and tell. So it was K and Brandon both of them served as what they call proof of life witnesses.

K was the proof of life witness for JJ and Brandon was the proof of life witness for tiley.

They also had some very, very interesting things to say beyond that. You know K went into how Laurie used to be kind of a normal person.

Kind of a good mom and then she wasn't and you know she didn't know much. It seems to me based on her testimony, Alison, much about what was going on from the religious side of things.

Did it strike you like that? I mean she didn't really testify to much about that at all, did she?

She didn't, but I suspect that she did just given that Charles confided in her. I just think it wasn't something that they had any way to get in through her as far as a witness because anything she would have heard would have come from Charles and they have their.

Here say correct and they have your say objection. Right and they have the witnesses who will see lots of witnesses that will give that stuff upright.

Yeah, once we start with April 12th and April 13th. Yeah, so so but Kay did have a lot of things to say and obviously her and Larry were instrumental in kind of getting this investigation going.

Ultimately with her concerns about JJ and his whereabouts really sparked everything. So obviously we're grateful that she did that.

For sure and you're going to hear how that plays into what like the next the next witness and how that played into the entire investigation.

Yeah, I'm excited for it and then Brandon. He got into way more of kind of what was going on in the inner sanctum of the Vallow household.

And in the sense that you know his wife is the niece of Lori and her name is Melanie and there's a couple Melanie's we're going to have on our next episode we'll be hearing from Melanie Gibb who was super homie to Lori and got sucked into the whole four texts of weirdness.

Yes, and I have to apologize to your listeners because I said yesterday that it was going to be tomorrow and it was because actually the final ending of the cross examination of the witness who we're going to hear about today happens on the 12th and then Melanie follows that.

After defense, you know, there was a death in the prosecutor's family. It was like an hour and a half day. So I think that threw you off a little bit. Like I'm not holding it against you because.
