we have a very special Valentine's Day episode.

You know we're in a weird time in history, it's a weird Valentine's Day and we're bringing

you a weird episode.

We are book clubbing, Lonnie Anderson, and Bert Reynolds competing divorce memoirs.

Huge shout out to OG book clubber Amy Shapiro who inspired this episode and it's why I love

the digital book club so much because so many great ideas come out of it.

So Bert wrote a devastating memoir about this divorce in 1994.

And then in 1995 Lonnie's push to release her own book and defend herself so we're covering

both of those books today and stay tuned because at the end of the episode we're gonna

hear a little bit from Lonnie Anderson herself.

They had one of the nastiest splits in Hollywood.

He accused her of sleeping around, she claimed he beat her and just last May Lonnie went to

court to get the reported $155,000 Bert still owes her from their divorce settlement.

So before we dive into the episode, I just wanna say because both books are on the podcast,

we have to skip so much of both of them.

I read Lonnie's book, it's really great, it's such a cool read.
