As we begin this re-release, we want to offer a small, not very important note, but it's

going to slow down the emails that we might otherwise get.

We had to record a section in the final episode of this series to replace an interview, which

you'll hear more about.

Many listeners of early episodes have noted that my voice sounds different now, deeper,

and that is true.

Part of that is down to better recording equipment and production.

The other part is something that we've never really talked about on air.

I had severe chronic laryngitis for two years, and it damaged my vocal cords.

I went to speech therapy to help prepare the damage, but my voice is permanently lower.

So please, no need to review, comment, email, ask if your podcast player is broken, etc.

It's just a result of damage.

Now, let's get on to the really important stuff.

This June, where we're releasing our series on Sha Kimia Pate.

Her family has continued to hold a walk in her honor, most recently this May in 2023,

and we're currently working with one of her family members to get their DNA uploaded

to Jedmatch.

Her parents DNA and classic profile form is already on file with all major government databases,

and the GBI continues to actively pursue her case.

We'll be re-releasing several important announcements and updates through June and July.
