his administration with representatives from big finance, most notably from the

great vampire squid Goldman Sachs. A decade after Wall Street blew up the global economy.

It is now very much in the driver's seat in doing what it does best.

And that is to ensure that global capitalism is maximally structured to act as a giant vacuum cleaner

that descends from the economic sky and sucks up as much wealth as possible from regular

people and redistributes it upward to the super-rich.

Today, my guest is David Dayen, a journalist who trenchantly covers finance for a number of

outlets, including The Intercept and the New Republic. He is also the author of a book you should definitely check out.
