guests today. First, Yasha Levine, who identifies a Soviet American in his

Twitter bio, will offer a Russian perspective on the current Putin

phobia along with a skeptical take on the latest NSA leaks to the intercept.

And then Angela Nagel, author of Kill All Normies, will tell us about the Alt Right.

First, Russia and the NSA.

Yasher Levine has been in St. Petersburg, the city formerly known as Leningrad,

finishing up his book, Surveillance Valley, an analysis of tech and spying forthcoming

early next year from public affairs books.

He's perfectly situated both to react to the current American, or at least Democratic

party, obsession with Russia, and to the Leak NSA report

on alleged Russian hacking into our voting system, published by the Intercept on June 5th.

Not much more than an hour after its publication, the feds arrested the presumed

leaker, reality winner, with the presumably unintentional help of the intercept itself.

What does all this mean? Here is Yasha Levine to help us out. So how does it feel being there in the epicenter of world

control? It seems like the country you're in right now is just controlling everything from

you know France to the US elections almighty

Vlad Putin is just controlling the world from his desk in the Kremlin. I will tell

you Doug and you can't tell anyone I mean people here are pleased they're pleased with themselves they're pleased with

with their power for sure. They never felt it before. No no it's it's I think it

kind it's a surprise to most people here you know it's almost impossible to talk to people here about it because on the one hand, they don't believe you.

Unless you spend your time watching MS-MBC and reading CNN, you know, it's like it's a different world, right?
