Summary

Last year, after our True Crime Tuesday segment aired on KOIN's AM Extra, we received an email from the family of Alana Carroll- a woman whose story we had featured. Melissa, Alana's Aunt, along with Joyce, Alana's Grandmother, wanted to share Alana’s story. For someone who didn’t know Alana, her disappearance can be easily ignored, forgotten, or dismissed. As is the case with anyone who disappears or is murdered, there is so much more to the story and person. Alana wasn’t disposable. She wasn’t a junkie who no one loved. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend. And this August will mark two years since she was last seen alive. 0:14.0	Welcome back to True Crime Tuesday. Today we're seeking information regarding the disappearance of 32-year-old Alana Carroll, who's been missing
0:21.8	since September 23. We were contacted by Alana Carroll's family, who last saw her on August 15,
0:29.2	2023. Like so many cases we cover, there are many unfounded rumors surrounding the circumstances
0:35.9	of her disappearance, making for a complicated investigation.
0:40.5	This is why we ask that you share Alana's story so her family can get answers. In September of last
0:46.8	year, Alana was struggling with substance abuse, which led to her staying with friends and
0:51.0	acquaintances throughout Northern Clark County, Washington.
0:54.8	After she was reported to be missing, searches were initiated, but nothing significant was
0:59.1	found.
1:00.1	For reasons not shared with the public, investigators have stated that they believe Alana
1:04.5	is deceased.
1:05.8	Without her remains, it's unclear if she died due to an accidental overdose or homicide. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has stated that they have identified and are focusing on a suspect who is incarcerated on unrelated charges.
1:18.6	Alana's family has informed us there was a tip sent in regarding a male who was with Alana, possibly as she overdosed,
1:26.6	and may have placed her body in the trunk
1:28.8	of his car or disposed of her body before scrapping his vehicle.
1:32.9	This has not been confirmed by police.
1:35.3	Alana is described as being a fair-skinned female with a slim build, standing 5'6
1:40.5	she has brown hair and blue eyes.
