Can the Democrats take back the Senate?

Hello again, I'm Armin Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

that daily look at the issues Americans care about most.

President Bush is not

promising to stay the course anymore, but changing the message won't make bad news sound any better.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said today that Iraq is on the verge of chaos, and that's the

main reason his party may lose its majority in the Senate. On to the point, political handicappers are

focused on Missouri, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Democrats have to win at least two, but it won't be easy. We'll get reports from all three states

and from New Jersey where an incumbent Democrat just might lose. On reporter's notebook later on

at the World Series, Pineintar and Pure Competition.
