My dad would hunt with a muzzleloader.

He would also hunt with a bow he would also

hunt so like he liked the hunting season to be longer and you could hunt

primitive before so we're talking about hunting guys if you just and my dad

would hunt all of that stuff but we're going back to what I said on the last podcast, when it came down to like, you know, hunting a boar, we never did that. And he just wasn't with hunting the boar. Just let you guys know what happened. There were some people in my family that weren't so thrilled that I told the story that my father didn't want me to go hunt a boar what everyone from the baseball team. Why? This is like they say it made dad look like he had a problem

with white people. No, I think it made it look like, I mean, I could see that point of view,

but I don't think we didn't take it like that. It made it seem like he was very cautious

about the situation.

Can we, so my dad, I'm not going to say that my dad had a problem with white people.

Okay.

Don't say that then.

What I will say though is that he had instructions.

Growing up in the South,

and I don't want to dismiss anybody else's experience

of where they grew up in this country,

but I feel like there's always a heightened sense

of, I don't know, awareness when you are black in the South around white people.
