0:33.4	And today we have with us author Samuel W. Mitchum, Jr.
0:37.4	who has written over 40 books and great books,
0:40.4	a lot of good books on World War II.
0:42.4	And today we're covering a brand new book of his
0:44.4	called The Death of Hitler's War Machine,
0:46.4	the Final Destruction of the Varemach.
0:49.4	Sam, it's great to have you with us today. Welcome.
0:52.4	Thank you for having me.
0:54.4	I would like you to share a little bit of your background with us
0:57.4	and then we'll go for it.
0:59.4	All right. Well, I was born in Merge, Louisiana.
1:05.4	I went to Northeast Louisiana University and became an Army
1:10.4	helicopter pilot at the end of the war and Vietnam.
1:14.4	And then I'll stay active in the reserves,
1:18.4	but I went decided on an academic career and attended North Carolina
1:25.4	State and University of Tennessee.
1:28.4	And I spent 20 years as a professor of geography and military history
1:34.4	at the indition state, Georgia Southern,
