We missed Jeter Week, Marshman. Did you have a good and happy Jeter Week?

Yeah, you know, I was pretty sick last week, which is why we didn't do the Deadcast.

I was healed, though, because there was so much

Derek Jeter content on the internet, on television that I just, I just lay there and let it

wash over me. And it, you know, it healed me. I think it's pretty fair to say. I did not

experience the joys of Jeter because I don't really give a shit. But we had an

argument about whether or not Jeter was more annoying post-retirement than Peyton Manning, who just got

tapped to host the S-Bs, by the way. He'll be hosting the S-Bs this summer. And I find

Manning far less annoying post-retirement than Jeter, but am I wrong?

These should both go fucking die in a hole.

I mean, seriously, why are these washed ancient fuchs just lingering around?

Like, does anybody want to see them?

I think ever, I think ever since Jordan became a colossal brand and could sort of become, you know,

his brand, because it could exist well beyond his actual career, that all these guys want

the same thing, right?

So all of them stay in the limelight because, first of all, they don't have anything else to do.

And the other thing is that they, they sense an opportunity where they can be this

sort of eternal brand. The way like Madden is an eternal brand in video games, the way Jordan

is in sneakers, if someone like Jeter wants to be that for, I don't know, essays, ghost written for

athletes by agents. Yeah, I get his motivations, but I don't get why anybody has to cooperate with it.
