Yeah, I had a wonderful Memorial Day.

I cooked out a couple times.

Took some long bike rides, went to a ball game, hung out with kids a bunch.

You know, very dad Memorial Day.

I am of the mind that Memorial Day should be on the Saturday instead of the Monday.

They can still give you Monday off as a Memorial Day observed,

but I think the holiday proper should be on Saturday so that the obligatory cookout is on Saturday and not Monday.

Why not just have two cookouts? That's what we did. Well, that's the thing. I'm already cooking out Saturday and Sunday, right? So by Monday, I'm just, I'm a whale. I'm just utterly fucking disgusted. Ah, see, it rained in Philly on Sunday, so we got a little break there. Ah, all right. You know what? You know what problem I'm having is my son is, you know, he's a preteen and he's getting to that age where everything is lame. So, you know, I make all this food and he's like, ugh, I don't even like shrimp. Pizza's gross. Isn't that the worst?

I'm getting an attitude from the 11-year-olds, and it just, I don't care.

I'm bored, and you just... I can't say I hate it.

It drives me a little nuts, but I know that this is just, you know, the circle of life.

And now all the misery I inflicted on others is being inflicted on me. Oh, yeah. I'm getting my just desserts. Oh, it's all karma. It's all karma.
