Best friends with Jay-Z. He's running around, doing mad stuff, drugs. You've been in prison. You've been short. You feel as if you've been kind of through under the bus. It's a very deep story, a personal story to you. You're trying to make amends and do stuff legit with your life, which is a good thing. You have a book coming out soon, which is a good thing. But this will be good for the UK audience to understand your story and your friendship with one of the biggest rappers on the planet.

But before we get into everything, though, I always like to go back to the start of my guests. To get more of a bit of understanding about you, where you grew up and how it all began.

Well, I'm from New York. I'm Brooklyn, Brooklyn Projects, Brooklyn Marcy Projects.

Like in your neighborhood ghetto, tough projects, a lot of violence, drugs, you know what I'm

saying? But back then in that era, it was a lot of community. It was a lot of family. It was a

lot of, it was different. The generation was different. So that's what kept us out of trouble. We wasn't as much as, I wasn't much as

in trouble because, you know, you say, when I say living in the projects, right, it's,

it's like these 24 apartments in these projects, right? This is going to be your family.

You get what I'm saying?

When you come home from work, when your mom and your dad come home from work,

everybody come home the same time.

So you see these people every day, every day.

You know their children.

So your building is your family.

You know what I'm saying?
