Where did you grow up and how it all began?

I'm from Minneapolis, and I went to college there, and I did journalism.

I wasn't a full-time journalist.

I was in academia, but I started doing journalism part-time.

And I wrote an article that demonstrated that there was a serial killer in Minneapolis

in St. Paul, killing prostitutes.

Now, all the prostitutes knew this,

but law enforcement wasn't doing anything.
