On August 7, 2007, a woman was seen alive for the very last time, a case that because of

tunnel vision, so only one suspect in the beginning stages of the investigation.

Corinne, Veronica Anne Rainey, born in 1963,

migrated to Australia with her Indian family in 1973 as refugees from Indie Amin's Uganda,

and while there, she met and married a man named Lloyd Rainey.

A prominent barrister specializing in criminal prosecution, together the couple had two daughters,

and lived in the Perth suburb of Como.

Now, at the time our story takes place, Lloyd was involved in the corruption and crime

commission inquiry looking into the misconduct of police officers in a murder investigation,

and Corinne was working as a registrar at the Supreme Court of Western Australia. She was also

attending boot scooting classes, which is where she was last seen on the night of August 7, 2007 at around 9.30 p.m.

She was officially reported missing the following day.
