Senseless gun violence has touched the lives of many.

On August 6th, 2020, a young girl was killed in an act of violence

that seemed to have nothing to do with her, a case with many questions that unfortunately remain

unanswered. So if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning

cup of murder. On August 6th, 2020, Italia Lamelli Graham was in the safety of her own home in

Summerville, South Carolina, when out of nowhere, shots were fired. She was not the target as far as we know. She wasn't even part of the

exchange, but a stray bullet tore through her home inside of the Evergreen subdivision,

pierced the brick wall, and struck her small, helpless little body. Atalia was only five years

old, and she had been playing in the hallway at the time of her death.

She was just steps away from her mother when she crumbled to the ground.

First responders rushed to the scene, and though they acted quickly and got her to the hospital as soon as they could,

the young girl died an hour later. A girl who, after

strangers helped to raise money on GoFundMe for a funeral, was laid to rest on August 11th, as families

remembered her for her loving nature, her vivacity, and her compassion. Her mother couldn't bring herself to speak at the vigil,

and her father, who spoke on their behalf,
