If I sound off now, it's because I'm like having an active allergy attack, I think, to peep, which people probably think is ridiculous. But I was allergy tested. I am technically allergic to cats. But they said since I've, because I was like, I've had cats my whole

life. I've never been allergic to cats. What do you mean? They said basically since I've had cats my

whole life that I kind of like forced some immunity onto myself. But I was just petting

peep and like really giving her like a deep scratch because I was desperately trying to get her

to stay put because my door shut. And then I rubbed my face and I think it just did me in. So I'm

sorry if I sound a little congested. I just can't win. Fun times. So you have a car story that you told me you were saving for the podcast, so I haven't even heard it yet. Because obviously, if you've been listening for a while, you remember all my car dramas of, I think it was 20, what years is, 2024, I think it was. We bought a brand new car.. It died after three weeks and I went through these, all these months. Anyway, it was a nightmare. I spoke about it basically every single week for a very long time. So my husband has, he's a really old work truck. It's like 10 years old. So after all these petrol prices went insane, his work truck was diesel. So diesel here became so expensive for a little while. And we're like, maybe this is the push. We just need to get your new work car. So before we went away, he ordered a, like we call them a Ute here, which is like you guys call it a pickup truck, I think. Yeah, it's like a work truck. So we ordered a hybrid Ute. It was arriving, know, it was all great. So Saturday I had, because it's my birthday this coming week. So Saturday I had a lunch with some friends. I mean, he had to go and pick up the car. So we got my dad to drop him there, which is funny because he's like 45 years old. My dad's dropping him places. But anyway, my dad dropped him there to pick up the car. They get there and you're like, when you, anytime you buy a brand new car, like they usually make a bit of an effort. Like sometimes you'll get a bow or, you know, that will be just like, and there's checks they need to do because it's a brand new car to make sure that everything is right and all that. So he got there and he said they were very like disorganized. They're like, oh yeah, we've got to get the car. And then they came back to him. And they're like, oh, actually, the car's got a punctured tire. We have no car for you. And he's like, what? Like, do you not check this before? Like there's a checklist they go through. They make sure everything's good. and they're like, oh, you know, yeah, we were meant to do it and we didn't do it I'm so sorry and he's like well I don't have a car now like I'm here to pick up the car I've paid for this car I don't have a car and they're like oh they were just like what you don't have a car and he's like no like I bought a new car so therefore this is the car that I was thought I was going to

have so they gave him a demo off the thing and because he's a he's a trades person so he has to

drive a lot like he drives a lot it's like I don't think they understand how much I'm going

to be driving this you that because I don't know it's probably maybe it's a different system

there but they like when you have a demo they up, they then sell them for like a decent amount of money because they don't have very many kilometers on it. Like usually you'll get it and it's got like 100. He's like, I don't think they understand how far I need to drive today Monday. Yeah. With this car. So I'm like, what are the odds? Like, brand new car. He made an appointment with them.

They called him in the week and they said, can you come in Saturday at 2 o'clock or whatever? Yep, fine. Got there. Sorry, the car's got a punctured tire. We can't get it fixed until Monday. I'm like, hey, first of all, how does a car even get a punctured tire, a brand new car? Like, it comes off the truck and I know they have to drive it a little bit in the car yard to park it or whatever,

but what are the odds that it could get a punctured tire? I'm like, please, I hope this is not

the start of another car. The signs, like, this is all going to go wrong. Yeah, no, that is ridiculous. You'd think they'd do that like in the morning or the day before. Look at the cars that they know we're going out. And because like to be fair, because it's a hybrid, sales of hybrid cars and

EVs have gone up so much here because of the price of petrol. Like the guy I told Joe, I think in March, when it was when we actually bought the car in March because it takes 10 weeks to get delivered because we're so far from anything else to come from Asia, that they had, their sales had increased like 300% or something. So I get they're busy, but also you should have a checklist. Like, is this car right? Is there any issues with the car? Like, check it before you tell someone to come in. An hour before, at least. Anyway, not the end of the world. I just thought it was funny. Like, what are the odds that we just are having issues with the brand new car again? But anyway, we'll see how it goes when he has to pick it up.
