Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast featuring Kate Riga.

0:25.0

When we were getting ready to broadcast today, and Kate is usually the one who gives us kind of like an outline plan of what we're going to talk about.

0:34.6

You know, kind of a quick overview.

0:35.9

We'll hit these three or four points.

0:37.3

And the first point was the whole drama over the continuing resolution and the sort of the,

0:44.0

you know, blowback at Chuck Schumer that came out of that. And it took me a moment to process the

0:52.8

fact that that happened within the last week because it seems, I don't

0:56.8

know, two or three weeks ago, you know, it's another one of these examples of, you know,

1:02.9

dilated time in the moment that we are living in. It was just a few days ago, really. So, and, you know,

1:42.6

And I'll be honest with you, I did not watch a lot of these interviews because I find them kind of uncomfortable, right, to watch them.

1:48.6

Because I sort of, you know, I think Chuck Schumer's a good guy. I think he's been involved in politics, his life, you know, and all this kind of stuff. I don't have,

1:52.8

I don't have enmity to the guy, but I don't think he really kind of understands the moment that we're

2:00.0

living in. And because of that, when I see these interviews, he really kind of understands the moment that we're living in.

2:01.3

And because of that, when I see these interviews, it's kind of awkward.

2:05.1

I think I posted, I experienced it as a little awkward.

2:09.3

I think I posted yesterday somewhere on social media that even though I'm not in the, you know,

2:17.3

in the running to have Chris Hayes' job, I was glad that I
