Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast featuring Kate Riga.

We've got a couple big news stories that we're going to talk about this week.

We'll probably get to various ancillary stories from those big news stories.

But I wanted to start this episode by telling you about some TPM stuff. You know, we have been telling you

for, I think we've told you a few times in the last few episodes. We've also mentioned it on the website

that we've been running our March membership drive, which we do every year. And this year,

we set a really high goal of signing up 2,500 new members.

And just to give you some context, that is, if we get that, that's increasing our membership

by like 7.5%. So that's a lot, right? That's not something small on the margin. And the

highest goal that we had set in

previous drives was 1,000. And, you know, the 2,500 had the logic of that this is our 25th

anniversary. The site's been around for 25 years, which is kind of amazing. It's amazing, kind of in the unique way to me,

since it's obviously been most of my, at this point, most of my adult life, most of my professional

life. But anyway, it's a big deal for a digital media organization, right? I mean, we predate

Huffington and Politico and almost everybody and we're still here and we are still

we're not a shell of our former selves and we're very grateful about that and we're grateful to you

about that but 2,500 is a big big deal and uh we sort of locked ourselves in because of the logic of 25, but we made it.

Last week, we can't remember which day exactly. Maybe it was the beginning of this week, but we

have signed up 2,500 new members. So the drive continues. If you're not a member, please consider

joining us. It's a great thing to do.
