Several years ago, Mike and I did a podcast called The Juggling Coon, which was very well received. We talked about the

necessity of delegating in order to grow your organization and we actually in

advance of the podcast put out a question on the blog and I think in the forms as well and

got great responses and then we responded in a podcast to all the responses we got and

so we're going to do that again and we're presenting for you now for your

perusal and listening pleasure the manager tools coaching dilemma. So what I'm

going to do in the next three or four minutes, this is not a full manager tools cast. It's just me. The coaching dilemma

podcast will be coming out shortly. I think within five or seven days of this

cast being in the feed. And I'm going to present to you now what we call the manager tools coaching

dilemma I'm going to present a scenario management scenario for you and we're

going to ask you to come up with answers and the way we want you to do that is go to the blog post that will be associated with this cast.

The blog post, if you're listening to this now, it's already up. You may have already gotten your

RSS feed may have already shown you that there's a blog post up and we want you to

log in and give us an answer. What you think the answer is to the manager tools

coaching dilemma. Now folks, if you've already been to a conference, this is a question that comes up a lot, people say who should I coach and how should I coach and so on.

Of course we cover that at the Effective Manager conference.

If you already know the answer because you've seen Mark do this scenario in front of the group at the conference,

please don't be one of the first posters and say, oh, well, Mark already told me the answer is X,

because that will tend to dampen other people's responses.

But the idea here is to put in front of you a real world situation that thousands of managers

face every day all over the world and see how you handle it.
