Summary

John’s life took an abrupt turn in September 1964 when he met and subsequently married a co-worker named Marlynn Myers, whose parents owned a number of Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Iowa. John’s new father-in-law offered him a position with the company and soon the newlyweds were moving to Waterloo, Iowa. Life seemed to hold great promise for the newlyweds with no foreshadowing of what was to come.

Hey everybody, it's Cody. Troy doesn't even know that I'm doing this right now. I think he finds out

0:05.0

during the episode, but yeah, long story short, you all kind of know this. His main Facebook page

0:10.4

was taken over by hackers. Rest assured, I'll get to them eventually. But it's really made a big

0:16.8

impact. So he's launched a GoFundMe page and just to try to make up for all the self-funded

0:23.3

things, you know, the page and the tours and the museum and the books and all that sort of stuff.

0:27.8

So if you could just check out his new Facebook page, which is the American Audities Museum page.

0:33.7

And, you know, if you want to help them out, please go to the GoFundMe or Patreon or, you know if you want to help him out please it go to the go fund me or patreon or you know

0:41.1

you can send him money uh through a mailing address but uh you know he wouldn't want me doing this

0:46.3

but it would really help him out and um while we get to the bottom of this because they they took

0:51.1

over his facebook page and the advertising and just pretty much drained

0:55.1

the bank account for the business and, you know, hopefully we'll get some of it back. But in the

1:00.5

meantime, I'm feeling mean right now, but in the meantime, if you all could help him out,

1:05.9

please check out the GoFundMe. I'll put the link in the show notes. Thank you so much. The music coming from the stereo was almost too loud for the woman who was laying out the tarot cards in the corner of the living room.

1:36.6

Barbara Streisand was crooning about how Neil Diamond never brings her flowers anymore

1:42.0

as she tried to concentrate on the row of cards that was arranged for the excited young woman in front of her.

1:48.5

It was hard to concentrate between the music, the laughter, the ice clinking in glasses, and all the other noises of the holiday party.

1:56.2

The psychic wondered why she was bothering, trying to come up with accurate readings.

2:01.3

The crowd at the party was too silly and too drunk to care about what she had to say.

2:06.9

They only wanted good news, but luckily it was a pretty nice group of people, so that was

2:12.3

about all she had to deliver from the cards.

2:15.5

That made them happy, and if they were happy, that meant she got

2:18.8

paid. The thing was, though, she still wanted to be as accurate as she could. The psychic, Florence,
