So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am blessed this evening to be at the Church of the Nativity

with a wonderful couple, Alex and Bentley, who have asked me to kick off their wedding by

praying a rosary. At the end of this meditation, Bentley will share with you her story. So stick around.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for,

but especially on this day, on their wedding day,

let's offer this rosary that's all band together

thousands of people offering this rosary for Alex and Bentley in their

new life together.

Now according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The Church is a community of believers who form the body of Christ.

The smallest unit, the fundamental cell of the Church church is not the individual, it's the family or a small community modeled on a family.

And that's because we were made in the image of God who is a Trinity of persons living in a life-giving

communion of love.

Now there are larger communities such as a parish, a diocese, the universal church, but each of these larger communities

depends upon the health and integrity of the smallest unit, the single cells of the body, the family, a small community.

And the Christian family, or a small group, is the fundamental building block of the church.

For this reason, the individual believer and the larger church need the family.

Small communities of people where they live for both the individual and the larger community to flourish.

The church means a community of believers.
