Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I want to invite everyone to join us next Sunday night, October 17th,

for our Rosary tailgate. This will be a powerful public display of faith that just might enliven your own faith and whoever you invite.

So come, but don't come alone, invite others so that we can ignite the faith of many.

The tailgate will start about five and then the Rosary in the presence of the Blessed

sacrament will begin at 630.

So come and join us and bring a friend or a whole bunch of friends.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called a mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

Now there are three ways the word faith is used in the New Testament.

The apostle James in his letter says with faith that faith is when you hold something to be true based on the testimony of God. God tells us something we couldn't have known on our own,

and we make the decision to accept what God says is true.

The second form of faith, Paul describes as a total personal commitment to Jesus.

And third, Jesus describes faith as an expectation that God will work wonders.

And this expectation is what enables those wonders to occur.

In this meditation, we're going to focus on this last one, expected faith.

Faith is an expectation that God will work wonders, which allows those wonders to occur.

But let's begin with an example of a lack of this type of faith.

On one occasion Jesus went back to his hometown of Nazareth and he began to teach in the synagogue and many who heard him were astonished saying,
