Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

We have spent the past couple of Searchlight programs looking at the Body of Christ.

We mean this in two ways.

First, the Church is called the Body of Christ, and what we are trying to understand

is just what the Church is to look like.

The way that we are doing this is by looking at the second meaning of the body of Christ,

his physical body. And we saw an intriguing parallel

by comparing these two bodies. One of the things that we have learned is that God wants

there to be simplicity in the church. As we join our teaching today, we are going to see

how this call to simplicity fits with the seeming need for various programs.

With our study here now is Pastor John.

So these are things that I believe the body is to be.

Conceived by a miracle,
